Equitas Law Limited offer many years of experience with property law in the UK and have represented buyers, sellers and property developers.

OUR TEAM

Our team is led by Zaida Patel, the Director of Equitas Law Ltd which is a leading law firm based in Leicester. Zaida has 16 years post qualification has dealt with in excess of 8,000 cases in Property and Litigation during her time. She leads a skilled team of conveyancers and assistants who work on your matters from beginning to end.

CONVEYANCING FEES PRICE LIST
Our Fixed Fees are set out below;

PRICE OF PROPERTY CONVEYANCING FEES:

PURCHASE FEES

Up to £125,000 – £650.00 + VAT = £780.00

Up to £250,000 – £700.00 + VAT = £840.00

Up to £300,000 – £750.00 + VAT = £900.00

Up to £350,000 – £800.00 + VAT = £960.00

Up to £400,000 – £850.00 + VAT = £1,020.00

Up to £500,000 – £900.00 + VAT = £1,080.00

£500,000 + – £1000.00 + VAT = £1,200.00

These are fees which are payable to the acting Solicitor. All fees are subject to VAT at a rate of 20% – additional third-party outlay fees are listed below

**Leasehold and Unregistered Properties will incur an uplift of £200.00**

SALE FEES

Up to £125,000 – £650.00 + VAT = £780.00

Up to £250,000 – £700.00 + VAT = £840.00

Up to £300,000 – £750.00 + VAT = £900.00

Up to £350,000 – £800.00 + VAT = £960.00

Up to £400,000 – £850.00 + VAT = £1,020.00

Up to £500,000 – £900.00 + VAT = £1,080.00

£500,000 + – £1000.00 + VAT = £1,200.00

These are fees which are payable to the acting Solicitor. All fees are subject to VAT at a rate of 20% – additional third-party outlay fees are listed below

NEW BUILD FEE

Up to £300,000 – £750.00 + VAT = £900.00

£300,000 or Over – £950.  + VAT = £1,140.00

RE-MORTGAGE AND TRANSFER OF EQUITY FEES

Declaration of Trust – £300.00 + VAT = £360.00

Re-Mortgage – £500.00 + VAT = £600.00

Transfer of Equity (see below)

Up to £300,000 – £500.00 excl. VAT

Up to £500,000 – £600.00 excl. VAT

£500,000 or Over – £700.00 excl. VAT

The Outlay Fees are an administrative expense to your solicitor.

LAND REGISTRY FEE Ranges from £20.00 to £540.00 incl. VAT
CHANCEL INSURANCE POLICY £19.86 incl. VAT
ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING FEE (PER PERSON) £8.00 excl. VAT
HTB ISA £50.00 excl. VAT
REDEMPTION OF HTB MORTGAGE ON SALE £50.00 excl. VAT
HTB EQUITY MORTGAGE £150.00 excl. VAT
LEASEHOLD PROPERTY £100.00 excl. VAT

Any additional paperwork from Land Registry £10.00 excl. VAT (per document)

*These fees vary from property to property and can on occasion be significantly more than the ranges given above. We can give you an accurate figure once we have sight of your specific documents.

The typical timescales for the purchase or sale of a property could take up to anything from 8 – 12 weeks.
